As of writing this, there are several topics and movies that are trending that Hollywood has little to do with. There’s sports news that is touching people that normally no one would pay attention to. The world is changing, and how media is made and served is too. In all people are out more “touching grass” than before.
As a brand it’s come a long way. Caitlin Clark has completely transformed the league, but also exposed something negative. The old way of doing things is dead, and there are still those that deny the change and want to preserve those ways in spite of what’s happening. Regardless more people are attending games, and revenue I hear us up.
A film that has touched everyone with it’s message, Citizen Vigilante. Put into contrast with Supergirl you have to be blind to miss it. People are not unresponsive to messaging in ads, film, music, or sports. They just respond in ways now that the establishment thought they would not. People see what happens on TV, online, and then compare to their own experience and their friends. Smaller films (in budget) are doing better because of story quality over spectacle.
Also coming up (to be on brand) is Avengers: Doomsday. With the first trailer out, it’s still TBD with this film for it’s success. But I can definitely say given the last couple of trailers from some franchises theres been a tine change. will it effect earnings? We will see.
Media feels now more decentralized than ever and that terrifies those gatekeepers of it. They now know that they are not in control, the individual is. Now, is that good? I don’t know. Maybe if you can think for yourself it is.
Take the time to read, and take time to absorb it. It’s not about feelings, it’s facts. Ask, “why did that person write what they wrote?”.
Not all media is now made by people that are not millionaires or billionaires. It’s about message, and not stardom or anything like that. So if you sacrifice reality for your narcissistic worldview, you’ll not get the results you expect.
Start thinking about where your audience is at, and who your audience is more. Out of Home (OOH) Advertising is still a thing. Ask about sponsorships, typically will cost a couple of thousand if worth it. Either a one time event or over a period of months.
This doesn’t mean stop digital. We need to move past the “either this or that” way of thinking.
Digital enhances OOH ads. It doesn’t waste money because they already saw your ad. When is the last time you saw an ad and immediately made a decision? If you did, you’re an impulse buyer and congrats to the seller. But most people are too distracted by life to notice an ad at first. So it still takes multiple touches and channels.
I can’t recommend channels broadly to business owners. Each one is too diverse. So if you want a free consultation on what you need to get your business to the next steps, contact us.
