Why does this matter, or what does it mean? Simply put the idea that you are going to “rank” page one hasn’t been relevant for a while, this puts the nail in the coffin.
Google is leaning into AI search even more. If you have a website with AI written copy or simply DYI content, then you will likely see your traffic online plummet. AI search is about context, and if you sell pet products, it’s not enough to blog or produce content related to pet products. You now have to do the work with a real person writing your content (pages and posts). Preferably with a copy writer versed in your industry.
